In June 2009, the Odenton NOW Coalition was formed through the West County Chamber of Commerce. Professionals in the development industry wanted to unite their voices on overreaching issues to move Odenton Town Center forward to benefit the overall business community. The Coalition is made up of many members of various backgrounds (developers, engineers, architects, brokers, attorneys, community representatives, etc.) and meets regularly to strategize ways to work with the County, State and elected officials to bring critical issues to the forefront and devise solutions and methods of implementation. Members contribute their time and skills toward these issues. The Coalition worked closely with the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation to bring the construction of Town Center Boulevard (DRRA) and a Sewer Subdistrict to a workable conclusion. The Coalition also worked with AAEDC on an informative video presentation for Odenton Town Center which has since been updated with this version. Along with several Capital Improvement & beautification projects, the Coalition has been focused on the TOD project at the MARC station and is working with elected officials on the garages necessary for the Town Center.
