In June 2009, the Odenton NOW Coalition was formed through the West County Chamber of Commerce. Professionals in the development industry wanted to unite their voices on overreaching issues to move Odenton Town Center forward to benefit the overall business community. The Coalition is made up of up 26 members of various backgrounds (developers, engineers, architects, brokers, attorneys, community representatives, etc.) and meets monthly to strategize ways to work with the County, State and elected officials to bring critical issues to the forefront and devise solutions and methods of implementation. Members contribute their time and skills toward these issues.
During the last year, the Coalition worked closely with the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation to bring the construction of Town Center Boulevard (DRRA) and a Sewer Subdistrict to a workable conclusion. The Coalition also worked with AAEDC on an informative video presentation for Odenton Town Center.
